Haryana municipal election results

The Haryana municipal elections were conducted on March 2, 2025, to elect mayors and ward members across seven municipal corporations, as well as presidents and ward members for four municipal councils and 21 municipal committees.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) achieved a significant victory, securing nine out of ten mayoral seats, including the prominent Gurugram post. An independent candidate, Dr. Inderjit Yadav—a BJP rebel—led in Manesar, marking the only exception to the BJP's dominance.

The voter turnout was approximately 46%, reflecting active participation from the electorate.

This election marked the Congress party's first municipal poll contest in Haryana, but they were unable to secure any mayoral positions, indicating a challenging path ahead for the party in the state.

The BJP's comprehensive campaign, featuring top leaders and extensive outreach efforts, played a pivotal role in this electoral success. The results further consolidate the BJP's influence in Haryana's urban governance, while the Congress continues to seek avenues for political resurgence in the region.
