Daaku Maharaaj Crosses $1M On Release Day

 "Daaku Maharaaj," starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, had a strong opening on January 12, 2025. In India, the film earned approximately ₹22.5 crore net on its first day. 

Internationally, the film performed well in the United States, grossing over $1 million on its release day, including premiere show collections. 

The film's opening day earnings are about 35% higher than Balakrishna's previous release, "Bhagavanth Kesari," which collected ₹16.6 crore on its first day. 

"Daaku Maharaaj" is directed by Bobby Kolli and features Balakrishna as Sitaram, a vigilante battling corruption. The cast includes Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, and Urvashi Rautela. 

The film's budget is reported to be around ₹100 crore. 

As of January 13, 2025, the film's second-day earnings in India are estimated at ₹1.28 crore net. 

Overall, "Daaku Maharaaj" has made a significant impact at the box office, both domestically and internationally, with its opening day collections.

 This acquisition is among the most expensive real estate transactions in the Juhu area, with a rate of approximately ₹87,000 per square foot. 

 The apartment also includes four car parking spaces. 

 Juhu is a favored residential area for many Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn.

Kanguva Tamil film Enters Oscars Eligibility List

 The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released its list of 207 feature films eligible for the Best Picture category at the 97th Academy Awards. Among these are six Indian films, including the Tamil-language "Kanguva," starring Suriya. 

The other Indian films on the eligibility list are:
