The biggest news that shook the Bollywood industry is the arrest of Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan on the allegations of possession of banned drugs. But he and his family are getting moral support from Sussanne Khan, the ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan.
Aryan Khan was "at the wrong place at the wrong time", interior designer Sussanne Khan said today, reacting sharply to social media users vilifying Shah Rukh Khan's 23-year-old son after his arrest in the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case.
In the comment section of a journalist's Instagram post, Sussanne Khan, who is believed to be a close family friend of the Khans, wrote, "I think this is not about Aryan Khan, as he was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time."
"This situation is being made an example to drive home the excitement that some people get as they have a witch hunt on people from Bollywood," she added.
Sussanne Khan, film star Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife, is said to be one of the closest friends of Aryan Khan's mother Gauri Khan.
In her post, the journalist had claimed that Aryan Khan's arrest should be "a wakeup call for parents"
Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged possession of banned drugs and substance abuse after officials in disguise raided a rave party on the Cordelia Cruise ship which was on its way to Goa. Eight persons including Aryan Khan were detained on Saturday evening.
On Monday, Aryan was denied bail and sent to custody till Thursday by a Mumbai court although in court his lawyer argued that he was a special invitee to the cruise ship and therefore "cannot be roped in with the entire seizure in the case".
The anti-drugs bureau said the raids produced a haul of 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD. The drugs were found hidden in clothes, underwear and purses, reported news agency Press Trust of India, quoting an unnamed official of the anti-drugs bureau.
Neither Shah Rukh Khan nor anyone from the family has commented on Aryan Khan's arrest yet.

Announcing the same, they have released a poster from the sets where Balakrishna, Boyapati, Miryala Ravinder Reddy and Sridhar can be seen showing thumbs up.
Post-production works of the film are also happening at brisk pace and the makers announced to come up with release date soon.
The question is where Akhanda will land in as December and January are jam-packed with many big-ticket films.
It will be interesting to see whether they will opt for clash with other biggies or choose to release in no or less competition zone.

Shahrukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was detained in a drug case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during raids at several places. The NCB Chief SN Pradhan stated that the team acted on specific intelligence inputs, and the involvement of some Bollywood links has come to light.
NCB's Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede confirmed that the agency is questioning 8 persons including superstar Shah Rukh Khan's elder son Aryan Khan in connection with the rave party. Along with this, Arbaaz Merchantt, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra are also being questioned.
The following sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act could possibly apply now:
Section 22 of the NDPS Act anyone who possesses, sells, purchases, transports, or uses any psychotropic substance shall face rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year with fine. The section may become applicable in the present case.
Section 27 of the NDPS makes the consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term that may extend to one year or a fine. The section is likely to become applicable.
Section 28 of the NDPS Act states that whoever attempts to commit any offence shall be punishable with the punishment provided for the offence. The provision may become applicable in the current case.
Under section 64 of the NDPS Act the prosecution has the power to tender immunity from prosecution with a view to obtaining the evidence of any person appearing to have been directly or indirectly concerned in or privy to the contravention of any of the provisions of this Act.
Further, under Section 20 (b), punishment upto two years is awarded for possession or use of cannabis. Should the facts of the case require the application of the act, it may become applicable.
Additionally, Section 21(a) states that use, purchase and possession of drugs even in small quantity, can be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year.
Other sections that may be applicable are sections 29 (dealing with abetment and conspiracy), section 35 (which presumes culpable state) and section 30 (which states that a person preparing to carry out offences involving commercial quantities of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance shall be presumed to be guilty).
Nagarjuna has also broken his silence on Naga Chaitanya's separation from daughter-in-law Samantha.
The senior actor posted a statement on social media expressing his grief.
He termed that their decision was unfortunate. But he also added that both Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are dear to him.
“With a heavy heart let me say this! Whatever happened between Sam and Chay is very unfortunate. What happens between a wife and husband is very personal,” he wrote.
Nagarjuna further added, “My family will always cherish the moments spent with Sam and she will always be dear to us! May God bless them both with strength.”
Nagarjuna has himself distanced taking sides in this matter. He said both his son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are dear to him.
